ART EXHIBIT FUNDRAISER
Visiting Artist ProgramThe Visiting Artist Program is directed at raising funds, providing a venue for artists to display their works, and adding the visual dimension of art to the Library.
One or two artists will display works at the Library over a two-month period. Artists will provide eight to ten pieces of art, properly presented for display. Each artist agrees to donate a piece of art (print or original) to the Library for the Fundraiser. Each artist will, along with a Library Volunteer, assist with hanging and arranging the pieces of work at a mutually agreed upon date and time at the beginning of the two-month period. Artists will also assist with the removal of the art at a mutually agreed upon date and time. Should a Library patron express interest in buying a work on display they will be referred to the artist. Raffle tickets to win the donated artwork will be sold during the exhibit, and a drawing will occur near the end of the exhibit. Raffle tickets will be available at the opening reception and at all times during library hours, at the front desk. |
The Library reserves the right to de-select items not deemed appropriate for display in the Library.
